Crawling-Sitting

Bailey can go from crawling to sitting now. With each new milestone, I find myself getting sadder and sadder that my baby is growin up. It is flying by 10x faster than when Cole was a baby.

C-oh oh oh- LE

Peyton says Cole's name in the cutest way. He drags out the "o" like "oh oh oh oh". This picture isn't good, but this is how they watched Elmo together this morning!

8 Months Old

Bailey is 8 months old today!

 

Update: Bailey is on the go! She rocks on her hands and knees and scootches quickly across a room. She can almost get to a sitting up position from crawling. She can pick up (pincher/grabber) little puffs or pieces of bananas, and get them to her mouth. She is learning to eat table food, but still gags a lot. She has 2 teeth. She has 4 (6 oz) bottles/day and eats 3 meals/day. We're convinced she'd eat as much as we gave her! Her personality is still so sweet and laid back. She is content all the time. She takes 2 naps/day (1.5-2 hrs each). She sleeps 11 hours at night and STILL likes to get up very early (6-6:30 a.m.). She puts herself to sleep peacefully almost every day. She'll cry if she's overtired and can't fall asleep immediately, but she'll cry 20 minutes at the most. She is completely in love with her brother and Daddy. She can't control herself when they walk in the room...her arms and legs flail when she spots them! She can wave bye and blow kisses. Everyday when we walk upstairs, we point to Cole's old baby pix and say "Baby" "Hands" "Toes". She anticipates it every time. As we say "toes", she'll kick her feet. Well, here's to another month... they're flying by so fast!

November Nor 'easter

Startin' to Crawl

It makes me so sad that my baby is starting to crawl. She gets up on her hands and knees and rocks. And, she can get across the room. It is still hard for her to carry all her weight any distance though (have you seen her belly??!!)!

The mama here rarely appears in pictures! I prefer being on the other side of the camera!!! But, whenever I do look at a picture of me and my kiddos, I realize how much they truly look like their daddy! (Sorry Britta and Andria, I do think it's true! I love it that ya'll think Cole looks just like me!)

 

 

Bye Bye & Peek-a-Boo

Bailey can wave "Bye Bye" and she plays peek-a-boo. It is the cutest thing. She holds a blanket (or her own dress), and covers her face, then pulls it down and has the BIGGEST smile ever! Her Daddy taught her this!!!

Parent/Teacher Conference

This update is just for my records (read if you wish)...

Today was my first Parent/Teacher Conference for Cole. Mrs. Jost said he is a pleasure every day. She said he is very bright, a good listener, and very coordinated and caring. She said that if he is off task, all she has to do is redirect him one time. She also told me that he knows all his letters the first time she shows them to him. And, Mrs. Jost said he is a leader in the classroom. He wants his friends to do the right thing, and they seem to want to follow.

Although I wasn't surprised by most of the things she said today, I was a little relieved that he's not a handfull at school. I am so proud of the little guy. He absolutely loves school! Now, don't get me wrong, he's been in time out a couple times for saying "poop" or for roller skating on books, but overall I think he is doing awesome! And, he LOVES Mrs. Jost!

Puffs

Bailey tried Puffs for the first time this morning! She didn't quite know what to do with them in her mouth. She eventually got it, and didn't even gag! Our baby is growing up WAY too fast.

2nd Tooth

Bailey cut her 2nd bottom tooth today. She seems unaffected by teething.

Yes, I dressed up too...just put my hair in braids with a bandana! Hutch wanted me to be Louigi to match him, but I didn't have any overalls!

Pumpkin Patch Comparison

I know I keep saying this, but sometimes Bailey looks like Cole, and sometimes she doesn't at all. Overall, I think they both look like Hutch, but each with different shaped faces! Cole's is long and Bailey's is square.

And, did your baby suck on pumpkins? How odd!

Farm Weekend

We spent the weekend hiking and hanging at a farm house! Cole and Bailey had a blast playing with their cousins. More pix to come later...

1st Tooth

Bailey cut her first tooth on her 7 month birthday! We can tell she's aware of it because she keeps playing with her tongue. She hasn't woken up at night or been fussy from it.

Cole's Comments This Week

**We drove by a cemetery the other day, and Cole asked me what it was. I explained that when you die, you can get buried and then Jesus comes to take you to Heaven. I tried to keep it simple because 1. that sounds scary to a 3 year old and 2. Cole is smart so I knew he'd ask more questions. Well, Cole saw a lady who was visiting one of the gravesites, and he asked, "Is Jesus about to come and get her? Can I watch?".

**Today, Cole was playing out on the patio and he yelled to me, "Mom, do you breathe and move when you're dead?"

**Ever since Cole started going to school, he has started his prayers with "God in Heaven...". It is so cute and weird coming out of a little 3 year old that Hutch and I have to hold back laughing!
